4th Biennial National Conference of AAHP on Poultry Health

Chandigarh: Central poultry Development Organization (CPDO), Northern Region and DRDO- Defence Institute of High Altitude Research (DIHAR), Leh-Ladakh, organised the “4th Biennial National Conference of Association of Avian Health Professionals on Poultry Health” on 26th-27th October 2018, at National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER)- Chandigarh.

Association of Avian Health Professionals (AAHP) is promoting interdisciplinary research in the field of avian health and organizing conference and national symposium on poultry health once in two year to exchange and disseminate new knowledge and technologies on poultry health and disease management.

Dr O.P Chaurasia, Director, DIHAR welcomed the dignitaries and august the gathering. He stressed challenges of poultry production in high altitude areas. In the inaugural address the chief guest Dr Bhuvnesh Kumar, said that the first growth of Indian poultry industry has helped in national security to the growing population. He highlighted the importance of production of clean, safe and hygienic food like poultry meat and egg.

The Guest of Honor J.P.S Bindra said the NABARD support to this vibrant and promising industry come in the form of more schemes. He stressed on the low per capita consumption of egg and broiler meat and wished it could augment still further. Dr M.R.Reddy, General Secretary, briefed about AAPH activities.

The two day grand and successful event ended with vote of thanks by Secretary, AAHP.
