Agri Min Inaugurates Dairy Plant in Nagpur

The Union Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Radha Mohan Singh has inaugurated a Dairy Plant and Mother Dairy Milk Booth in Nagpur.

“There is a tremendous potential for working on the development of dairy in Maharashtra,” Singh said.

According to the Agriculture Minister, the total production of milk in 2015-16 reached 156 million tonnes at the annual growth rate of 6.28 percent, and has increased by 16.9 per cent during 2014-17 when compared to the year 2011-14.

Singh also stated that Mother Dairy is also going to set up a new state-of-the-art plant for processing of milk and milk products in Bhiwandi.
