
Australian High Commissioner visit’s Punjab
New Delhi: The Australian high commissioner Ms. Harrinder Sidhu will visit Punjab from 17 to 20 February, 2018 to talk about Happy Seeder technology that could address the environmental issues of stubble burning. This technology was developed by Punjab Agriculture University and Australian engineers & scientists with support from the Australian centre for International Agricultural Research.
Ms. Sidhu will visit the Borlaug Institute for south Asia in Ludhiana to meet with the stakeholders from the state government and the farming community she will also visit Punjab Agricultural University to learn about the outcomes of collaboration among Australia & Punjab Agriculture University. During her visit she will launch two skill developments initiatives by UDAY, The Project Moo App & Mobile dairy van which supports rural women & farmers who face mobility challenges.
