CIRB Hisar celebrated world soil day

Hisar: Central Institute for research on buffaloes (CIRB) celebrated world soil day  on 5^th December, in village Budak ,district Hisar with the aims to raise awareness and call farmers to stop Soil Pollution, wherein about 78 farmers participated.

The events organized were:
? Awareness cum goshti in one of MGMG villages and discussed on first-hand the benefits of effective management of soil by the scientists of CIRB and HAU, Hisar.
? Elaborated the method of taking soil samples, precautions while taking the samples and distributed the related literature.
? Motivated the farmers to get their soil tested of each of their farms separately and importance of keeping soil health card.
? Campaigned and highlighted the importance of healthy soil and its role on human and animal health.
? Discussed on improving soil fertility using crop residues.
