CIRB to host training programmes for SAARC scientists
HISAR: The Central Institute for Research on Buffaloes (CIRB) organizes a six days training programme for 17 scientists from five South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) countries at Hisar.
Scientists from Bangladesh, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and India will participate in the training programmes from August 22 to 27.
The UN and ISO certified institute is well recognized for its high quality research focusing on scientific buffalo production systems. Livestock rearing is the main source of livelihood in the rural areas in India. India is leading dairy producer with high degree of expertise in buffalo farming.
Dr. Inderjeet Singh, Director, said, “It is a matter of pride for the Institute to host the SAARC sponsored training on ‘Herd Health Management of Dairy Buffaloes’ for SAARC member country experts”.The deliberations in the program will be helpful for the participants.
ICAR DG Dr. Trilochan Mahapatra will inaugurate the event on August 22. ICAR Deputy Director General (Animal Sciences), Dr. Habibur Rahman will be present on this occasion.
