Consumer Mela 2016 held at Cannaught Place
New Delhi: The Department of Consumer Affairs (DoCA) organized a Consumer Mela 2016 at Central Park, Cannuaght Place, New Delhi on Thursday to bring the consumers, companies, regulators and DoCA on one platform for consumer’s awareness and possible grievance redressals .
ASSOCHAM, CII, DICCI, FICCI and PHD Chambers and regulators like FSSAI, TRAI, BEE also participated in the Consumer Mela.
Consumers could get information about their rights and responsibilities through the National Consumer Helpline at the Mela. It also registered grievances.
Companies like Tata Motors, Reliance Communications, Amway, Amazon, SBI, ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, LIC, Hero Motors, Make My Trip, Geetanjali, ITC, Panasonic, also participtedin the Mela.
As the Department of Consumer Affairs (DoCA) is observing Swachhta Pakhwada from 16th to 31st Oct, this opportunity was used to educate consumers about their responsibility to keep their surroundings clean. Nukkad Nataks on consumer awareness and Swachhta and Poster making competition for school children were also organized
