Haryana CM assures to procure sunflower from farmers
Chandigarh: Haryana Chief Minister, Manoharlal Khattar, has said the farmers would be given assured 50 per cent extra on the cost of production of all crops in the state. He said this during a farmers’ rally at Kurukshetra.
Refuting the allegations of opposition parties, the Chief Minister said the allegations are baseless and they are indulging in caste politics.
Khattar further added that the government would produce all crops of sun flower and oil seeds from the farmers in the state.
He also urged the farmers to switch over to horticulture or other crops as there are many government schemes available in horticulture segment.
Bharatiya Kisan Union, a farmers’ body, has been protesting against the Haryana Chief Minister demanding the sugarcane growers be given their outstanding payments soon.
