ICAR-NRCC Celebrates 33rd Foundation Day

BIKANER: ICAR-National Research Centre on Camel(NRCC), Bikaner celebrated its 33rd Foundation day on Tuesday at village Sherera, Bikaner. To create awareness regarding utilities of camel in the present day situation a drawing competition and quiz competition was organized in which more than 200 students participated.

The activities of the Centre and different technologies developed were also exhibited. In the Scientist Farmer interaction meet over 100 farmers participated.

To promote camel milk in rural areas folks, human health benefits of camel milk were explained.

In the training held for participants, preparation of different milk products from milk was explained.

During this meeting, problems faced by the farmers were discussed and preventive and curative measures were also suggested by the Scientists. Extension cum animal health camp was also organized at the place where more than 130 animals were treated for different ailments like infertility, mastitis, pica, ecto and endo parasites etc.  

On this occasion, Sh. Kanhya Lal, village head, told the farmers to take advantage of the knowledge given by the scientific community of the centre for improving productivity of livestock owned by them.
