Odisha holds G2G meetings with four countries at Indus Food
New Delhi, January 15: Odisha participated at the second edition of ‘Indus Food’, the largest F&B Trade Fair at India Exposition Mart Ltd, Greater Noida during 14-15 January, as a ‘Partner State’ along with 30 food based MSME units from different parts of Odisha. This mega annual food processing sector exhibition Cum Reverse Buyers-Sellers meet was organised by Trade Promotion Council of India (TPCI) and Commerce Ministry of Government of India.
The Odisha delegation led by L N Gupta, Additional Chief Secretary, MSME Department, (G2G) had meetings with four countries viz. Vietnam, UAE, Iraq, Bangladesh and offered the potential investment and trade opportunities with Odisha in items like rice, maize, fruits, vegetables, spices, marine products etc. He also invited the delegates of these countries to come and take part in MSME Trade Fair scheduled to be held in Bhubaneswar during 28 January to 3 February 2019.
He also held a discussion with the Vietnamese Ambassador to India, Pham Sanh Chau in regard to possibilities of Investment and Trade by Vietnam in Odisha in the food processing sector in general and marine sector in particular.
The exhibitor entrepreneurs from Odisha also engaged in number of Business to Business meetings with entrepreneurs coming from various parts of the world in the food processing sector. The entrepreneurs from 70 different countries have been participating as buyers in the mega event. Anmol Industries Limited, Prime Agro Food Processing Pvt. Ltd., Om Oil & Flour Mill (P) Ltd., KASAM, Gram Tarang Foods Pvt. Ltd., Kar & Brothers, Green Essence Extraction (P) Ltd., Jay Bharat Spices Pvt. Ltd., Taratarini Cashew Industries, Ram’s Assorted Cold Storage Limited, Krupalu Rice Industries (P) Ltd., Magma Foods (P) Ltd. are some of the major Odisha companies who participated at Indus Food.
