Protesters Hurl Eggs at Radha Mohan Singh over MP Farmers’ Killing
Bhubaneswar: The cavalcade of Union agriculture minister Radha Mohan Singh was pelted with eggs by the Youth Congress activists while he was on the way for Jatni, 18 km from Bhubaneswar, to attend a ‘Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas’ event.
Police have detained five members of Youth Congress of Odisha including the working president of the Odisha Pradesh Youth Congress Loknath Maharathy for the incident.
The incident took place near the state guest house in Bhubaneswar where the workers also waved black flags at the minister’s vehicle in protest against the death of six farmers in police firing in Madhya Pradesh’s Mandsaur district.
Radha Mohan Singh, who is on a two-day visit to Odisha to attend events marking completion of three years of Narendra Modi government, was in the centre of criticism when he allegedly advised practising yoga when asked about Mandsaur killings.
