Radha Mohan Singh inaugurates Pt. Din Dayal Upadhayay Unnati Mela 2016

Mathura: Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Radha Mohan Singh Monday inaugurates a four days Pt. Din Dayal Upadhaya Unnati Mela 2016. Thanking to the farmers, he said the food grain production was more than 25 million tons last year.

‘In spite of drought situation in the country, the food grain production in the country. The credit of food grains production goes to new agriculture techniques and the hard work of farmer,’ said Singh.

He further said that bin horticulture, the vegetables and fruits, is getting continuous enhancement and it has crossed the figure of 280 million ton. The food security of the country has become strong. India is already self dependent in food grains. It has generated a new trust among all shareholder of agriculture sector.

In Pt. Din Dayal Upadhayay Krishi Unnati Mela 2016, Agriculture Minister awarded Moti Singh with Pandit Din Dayal Upadhayay Antyodaya Krishi Puruskar. He appreciated the effort of National Horticulture Board, Department of Agriculture and Cooperation and other officials for organizing the fair at Mathura.
