RKMS Threatens Nationwide Agitation

Bhopal: Rashtriya Kishan Mazdoor Sangha (RKMS) has threatened to launch a countrywide agitation if the government fails to accept the demands of the farmers in Madhya Pradesh.

Talking to Smart AgriPost, Kailash Kumar, RKMS leader, said, “Right now the strike is continuing in Madhya Pradesh. However if our demands are not met, the agitation will spill to other parts of the country.”

For the last one week the farmers in Madhya Pradesh under the banner of Rashtriya Kishan Mazdoor Sangha have been agitating to get their demands to be met. However, their protests turned violent when five farmers lost their lives and more than six have been seriously injured in the Mandsaur district of the state.

The farmers in Madhya Pradesh have been holding protests in the Mandsaur, Ujjain, Indore, Dhar, Ratlam and Khandwa districts of the state since 2nd June demanding remunerative prices for their produce and a loan waiver.
