Training programme on organic farming concludes at PAU

Ludhiana: A total of 30 farmers from different parts of Punjab participated in one-month training programme on “Organic Farming” which concluded at Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) today. The training was held at Skill Development Centre under the guidance of Dr J.S. Mahal, Director of Extension Education.

 

Dr T.S. Riar, Associate Director, Skill Development Centre, while highlighting the importance of organic farming, stressed upon becoming self-sufficient.

 

Dr Vandana Gandotra, a farm expert, informed about the activities being carried out at Skill Development Centre, PAU.

 

Dr Lavleesh Garg, Course Coordinator, said Punjab Skill Development Mission is all set to impart training in agriculture and subsidiary occupations free of cost. For details, interested farmers can visit pau website www.pau.edu.

 

Later, Dr Manmohan Dhakal, an expert, proposed the vote of thanks.
