Tripura CM seeks Amul help to develop dairy

Tripura: Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb on December 06, 2018 sought help from Amul India Ltd for developing dairy industry in the state. According to media reports, a delegation of Amul India Limited called on Deb at Agartala to discuss the prospects of developing dairy sector and milk based economy.

He also hoped that this support from Amul India would help in solving unemployment to some extent in Tripura besides fulfilling the state’s demand for milk.

CM further added that his government wants to share experiences in running dairy industry with Amul India Ltd. He sought the help of Amul to implement his plan to distribute 10000 cows among 5000 farmers in rural Tripura to combat malnutrition and generate employment in the state.
