ZhingaLala to promote domestic shrimp consumption
Surat: In an effort to increase domestic market share and consumption of shrimps, Mayank Aquaculture has launched its restaurant, ZhingaLala in Surat. It is an exclusive restaurant servicing various tasty shrimp delicacies in the diamond city.
“The motive behind launching this exclusive shrimp restaurant is to promote shrimp consumption and shrimp farming in India,” said Dr Manoj M Sharma, Mayank Aquaculture Pvt Ltd, Surat.
NFDB Chief Executive Smt I Rani Kumudini, IAS, was the chief guest on this occasion. Addressing the gathering, she said, “There is a need to encourage shrimp marketing in domestic marketing. India’s shrimp production completely depend on export market. India needs at least 50 % consumption in domestic market to sustain shrimp farming and farmers”.
More than 300 guests from all parts of the country were present in the ZhingaLala opening ceremony. Shrimp dishes were served to all guest as a promotion.
