Bihar Not Utilising Central Funds, Says Radha Mohan

New Delhi: Union Agriculture Minister Radha Mohan Singh has expressed concern over poor implementation of Central schemes by Bihar government in agriculture sector.

 

Reviewing progress of different schemes involving Central funds, the Union Minister said,” In the year 2014-15, the centre had granted Rs.35 crore, and in the year 2016-17, Rs.10 crore under micro irrigation scheme for the state, but they could not spend Rs.31.71 crore till the end of the year 2016-17.”

 

Singh said for other activities under Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayi Yojana, Bihar was granted Rs.18.60 crore in 2015-16, but the state could not spend Rs.10.8 crore, according to the report submitted by them. And in the year 2016-17, Rs 21.60 crore was released, out of which Rs 10.8 crore was not utilised.

 

Under the Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana, out of the amount given in the last three years Rs. 143.22 crore was not utilized, said the Minister.
