Participatory Integrated Watershed Management Training
NEW DELHI: ICAR-Indian Institute of Soil and Water Conservation (IISWC), Dehradun organized a short training programme on ‘Soil & Water Conservation and Watershed Management’ .
Dr. P.K. Mishra, Director (IISWC), in concluding session, said that realistic watershed planning is the base for integrated watershed development and management. Sustainable agriculture, soil and water conservation can be done through active people’s participation.
The training programme was coordinated by Dr. Lakhan Singh, Head, HRD and Social Science Division
20 officers of different disciplines from 16 districts of Odisha participated in the programme. The training programme was sponsored by Director, Institute on Management of Agricultural Extension (IMAGE), Bhubaneswar, Odisha.
