New Delhi,19 August, 2026: Uttar Pradesh Finance and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Shri Suresh Khanna said that the India-Japan strategic partnership is gaining fresh momentum, with Uttar Pradesh emerging as a major destination for Japanese investment and long-term industrial collaboration.

Speaking at the UP-Japan Investment Meet 2026 at Taj Palace, New Delhi, Khanna said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Uttar Pradesh has strengthened its position as an investment-friendly state through improved law and order, modern infrastructure and progressive policies.

He said Japan’s role in Uttar Pradesh’s growth story is extending beyond investment, with the country increasingly emerging as a long-term strategic partner in the state’s economic and industrial development.

Khanna welcomed the Japanese delegation led by Kotaro Nagasaki, Governor of Yamanashi Prefecture, and said the strong participation of Japanese industry reflected growing confidence in Uttar Pradesh’s investment potential.
